The Kayon Gangga Resort is an eco-friendly luxury wellness resort in Ababi, Karangasem, East Bali’s quietest, most spiritually significant regency, below the slopes of Mount Agung and beside the sacred springs of Tirta Gangga. It is part of The Kayon Hotels & Resorts, a Bali hospitality group known for The Kayon Resort in Ubud, The Kayon Jungle Resort, and The Kayon Valley Resort. Each one is built around the character of a single, specific place rather than a repeatable template. The Kayon Gangga Resort continues that approach in Karangasem, a region The Kayon had not yet built in, and one whose water heritage and cosmology called for a resort unlike any of its sister properties.

The resort grounds were planned according to Dewata Nawa Sanga, the ancient Balinese cosmological system that assigns a deity, a colour, and a specific energy to each of the nine cardinal directions. The plants you encounter as you walk through The Kayon Gangga Resort were not chosen for aesthetic appeal alone. Each one was placed with deliberate cosmological intention. The garden is a prayer made visible.

The name Tirta Gangga translates to the sacred water of the Ganges, a name the Balinese kings chose to honour a place they considered genuinely holy. Serayu Wellness at Gangga was not built to bring wellness here. It was built because wellness was already here, embedded in the water, the land, and the ritual life of the people who have always lived beside it.
